Become a consultant.

You would have your own Harbor & Bloom shop and you would run it at whatever pace fits the rest of your life. Here is the honest version of what that involves.

A consultant can also introduce you, and that is the warmest way in: shop with one first and ask her what the work is really like.

The whole toolkit: what you already use, and somewhere to keep track of who liked what.

What the work actually is.

Three things, mostly, and none of them is a sales pitch.

  • You keep a shop.

A link with your name on it, stocked with the Harbor & Bloom products you have chosen to carry. Anything bought through it is attributed to you by the shop itself. You never have to ask anyone to remember where they heard about us.

  • You film PopStreams.

Short videos made on a phone: how the balm melts, what the veil looks like over the serum, why you switched in January. They live in your shop next to the products they show.

  • You answer questions.

This is the part that actually sells anything. Someone asks what to use when the wind turns, and you know, because you have used it when the wind turned.

Three steps, and none of them is a purchase.

  1. Step one

    You email us.

Tell us roughly where you are and what you already use. A person reads it and writes back, usually within a couple of days and occasionally slower in harvest weeks.

  2. Step two

    We open your shop.

You choose a handle, we set the storefront up, and your products are assigned to it at the same prices every other shop charges. Nothing is bought to make that happen.

  3. Step three

    You start where you are.

Most consultants begin by telling six people who already ask them about skincare. There is no launch event, no first order to place, and no schedule to keep to.

Answers, before you ask.

These are the questions worth asking any brand that sells this way. We would rather you asked them now than later.

Do I have to buy inventory?
No.You never hold stock. Orders are placed in your shop and shipped by Harbor & Bloom, and nothing sits in your spare room waiting to be sold.
Do I have to build a team?
No.You can consult on your own for as long as you like. Nothing here depends on bringing other people in, and nothing you are offered depends on how many have.
Is there a monthly quota?
No.Sell what you sell. Take a season off and nothing lapses, nothing has to be made up, and your shop is where you left it.
Do I need equipment to film?
No.A phone and a window facing anything but the sun. The Harbor & Bloom app records, trims and publishes a PopStream to your shop; there is nothing else to buy or learn.
What will I earn?
Two numbers.25% of the retail price on anything sold through your shop, and 5% on the sales of a consultant you personally mentor. One level, and it stops there. Consultants earn on what they sell; what that comes to depends on you, and we don't publish a typical figure because there isn't an honest one.

Take your time with it.

There is no sign-up form on this page, on purpose. We would rather trade a couple of emails and work out together whether this suits you than have you click something at eleven at night and regret it by Tuesday.

If it turns out not to suit you, that is a perfectly good answer, and you would still be welcome to shop with a consultant, which is how most people meet us anyway.

Tell us where you are and what you already use. That is enough to start with.
